The Project
Would you like to perform in Russian on a stage? To Russians?
No acting skills are needed, we will provide you with all the techniques you might find lacking. Your level of Russian has no significance either - we shall find an extract for you to perform that meets the scope of your knowledge!
Why do it?
To challenge yourself, to find new friends, to enjoy and celebrate your development and get acquainted with authentic Russian hospitality and cordiality.
Whilst Russian Engine's 'Project' might sound absurd, it is emotionally and practically rewarding for both our students and ourselves!
How does it work?
Every Saturday starting from 29th October 2016, Russian Engine will host "rehearsals" for The Project's participants, exploring the traditions of Russian theatre, and then watching and practicing extracts from famous Russian plays. Collectively, all participants will create the concept for the Project, with all contributions flowing into one solid "masterpiece" to be staged in front of guests in London in May 2017 and later at Platonov's Festival in Voronezh in early June 2017.
